Protect your energies…

As humans we are very sensitive and fragile. We are highly impacted by our surroundings whether this is in the form of situations or personalities. Why is it always the ones that are helping that are more likely to be victims of stress and anxiety. Ever wondered why nurses, doctors and counsellors are more likely to be suicidal than any other occupation holders. Helping others is one of the most greatest feelings and things to be able to do however we can also not give something we don’t have within. To spread happiness you need happiness within and to be able to preach balance you must demonstrate a balance in you to.

How many times have you been around someone who is in a bad place or mood and suddenly just felt low yourself and vice versa when your around motivated people you naturally feel uplifted. This is where we need to learn to meet a balance within our own mindsets and protect our own energies. How an individual treats, judges, speaks or understands you should not have an impact on the way you feel. this is not an easy practice but there are a few things that can help build up to this stage slowly.

  • Work towards understanding yourself
  • Love and accept yourself for who you are
  • Embrace and work on your insecurities
  • Do what makes you happier as a person
  • Practise mindfullness
  • Be kind to yourself
  • Forgive yourself and others more often

After introducing these practises in my daily routine i realised how less of an impact the negativity and society had on me, when i had stopped these practises i had seen for myself how much other peoples opinion effected my mood and emotional state of mind. I am not saying nobody phases me or i am not ever impacted by others, but one thing i can surely say is that it’s a slow process but it works, i no longer feel the need to seek authorisation from the world to be the person i am or feel the way i feel. I am ME and i’m not guilty for it and neither should you 🙂
